We started off the day with Ms. Smith collecting the summary response on Pausch's Last lecture. We then discussed as a class what key elements we took away from his speech and how we can incorporate them into our last lecture. Here are some of the things we took away from his lecture...
- Head fakes
- 1 liners (ex. cards your dealt, brick walls)
-Upbeat and positive, even in the face of negativity
-Humor
-STORYTELLING! (people want to listen and easily relatable)
-Lessons learned through life... from other people or experience
-Personal and real (show! not tell.)
-Extra elements (videos, pictures, props)

The second part of class we discussed the question "What is the point of hell?" Students shared their thoughts and beliefs about Hell and what happens when we die.
We also watched this video about Dante's view of hell
HW: read the first 6 pages of the packet about Dante Alighieri and read the last page Allegory.
